Introduction

The song chosen by our group is Lily Allen's ''Everyone's At It". The reason for picking this song is the message behind the lyrics is a reality of what drugs has come to. Drugs has worked its way through society, creating numerous amounts of problems. A few of these problems include psychosis, brain damage or even loss of life due to an overdose.

Lily Allen is a popular artists due her querky and humerous take on every day matters and occurances. What we are trying to do with the message of the song is, by all means, to stay with a humouros feel to the video but get across the side affects of taking drugs and its dependancies.

As you can see in the lyrics Lily is putting across the severity of the condition society is in, especially in youths. What livens up her lyrics is the music along with it, such being pop/drum and bass. The common audience for this music is directed with ages between 16-30 years, the reason being that drum and bass is a huge core of club life along with trance/house music. With the right techniques, shooting and editing we are aiming to get a final product of the video, advertisement and digipack that will reach the target audience.
Here are our storyboards of how we want our video to start out:

We want to start off with the artist spinning round with the pier nightlights in the background, so it looks thrilling and colourful to represent the mood of the singer which will hint to drug taking experiences. Our group also thought it would be an idea to not only get a shot of her spinning around but to actually show a point of view shot, as this will allow us to create a fast pace during editing quickly between the two.

We also want a shot of her running through the pier with the same kind of affect of the lights whizzing past her. To keep up with the pace with aim to achieve, we would need to not just focus on two particular shots but quite a varied amount, for example tracking, panning and perhaps even over the shoulder.

As the song starts to blend into the first verse we ease the speed of the shots with a quick shot of the sun shinning through the window which is in the middle of the pier. I can imagine this shot really clearly. This relates to the lyrics 'the sun poking his head round the curtain.' However we do not plan on doing the same idea for every lyric, that would be repetitive and quite predictable.

As the lyrics come in of the first verse, we are going to have a shot of the artist blowing out cigarette smoke in the direction of the camera to give a real sense of attitude. and then she would start to mime. We are planning to take these shots from different angles we can out together at the editing stage to add various and maintain the audiences interest.

We were thinking of having a scene of 'Lily' buying doughnuts to give the video a sense of journey, in this case it is showing she is leaving the pier. We plan to get a shot of the person selling the Doughnuts, hopefully they don't mind; if so we will have to improvise, maybe compromise on what else she would buy, but hoping to keep to the same style of food.

The choruses of the song are quite lengthy so we would be trying to mix both lily's journey through brighton and a new idea of filming the artist in our college television studio. This is a common technique used in many pop videos.
